Tomorrow I get on a plane to visit a province I have not seen since I was 4 years old. Back then we drove out in my Dad’s ’67 Dodge Dart. This time I’m flying out with WestJet…and I’m hoping there’s going to be a lot less motion sickness as a result. Looking forward to meeting my sister entrepreneurs in the Newfoundland & Labrador Organization of Women Entrepreneurs and hearing famous Canadian Chef Anna Olson give a keynote on Personal Brand Development: Strategy, Synergy & Serendipity. I always love hearing from other women in the trenches of business on what’s working for them. One of the challenges of being a solopreneur is the isolation that can surround you as you work on and in your business. NLOWE is a great organization that helps women build their business with tools and resources – and I’m delighted to be delivering a workshop “Lessons Learned from Pitching the Dragons” as well as hosting “The Pitch” – a kinder, gentler version of the CBC show where the winner claims an iPad mini. Get the cod ready – I’m a comin’ Newfoundland!
